HEY! Phunky and I just remembered the woman who walked up to the middle of the stage (bold as brass). She appeared to have a package in her hand. We have decided that she wanted something autographed and did not understand that autographs are done AFTER the show...Either that or she was a courier who needed Spazzie's signature....

Those stairs were just too inviting, I guess. I don't know about anyone else, but I saw that coming. Surprised more didn't try actually.

It was SO good to see everyone previously mentioned, as well as a few others both Last night and Thursday. This has been a tremendous weekend, by far the most fun 48 hours I've had in a very long time. Here's to hoping more shows are added around here ASAP so we can do it all again.

That woman went on stage during Freak Flag and was carrying one of the small flags. She held it out to Rah, who of course was playing. When he didn't stop playing to take it (duh), she tried to stick it the crook of his arm. She was very indignant when Dave made her leave the stage, and in fact sat on the steps looking like she was the one who had been treated rudely.
Some people just don't see themselves very accurately, do they?

Yeah, she had a pretty nasty expression on her face when she was escorted down the steps. However, I actually thought it was very nice of Dave to take her right back to where she was before, and not escort her out of the venue.

Sadly, this is not the first time I have seen an uninvited guest on stage. I seem to remember one last year in Terre Haute as well. People are crazy

Re: Terre Haute, IN - April 15
We were talking at breakfast after the show, and Wolfdrum told the story of one show he was at where a young man jumped onstage. The band was running around the stage during 1,2,3ple, and the man just jumped on stage and started running with them. Dave didn't notice him right away, and so Cass and Java started singing "There's someone on stage. Hey Dave, there's someone onstage who doesn't belong here."
And, of course, they never missed a beat.
I suppose it is inevitable that this happens now and then, but I think all of us here realize how dangerous this can be for the band, and how totally disrespectful it is.

That is not something that would ever, ever cross my mind! It's very disrespectful, dangerous, and just downright rude.
My inner Canadian is cringing at the mere thought. Actually, so is my outer Canadian.

Most of us south of the border feel the same way, Raven.
And you have to realize that large amounts of alcohol are usually involved . . . . . .

I honestly hope alcohol was a factor this last time in Terre Haute. I don't want to believe someone be that bold and entitled that they would do something like that sober.

Even feeling better and able to jump the stage in a single bound I would NEVER invade their space like that. Not unless they Invited me and even then I'm not sure I could even then.
I have witnessed several years ago in Chattanooga they did invite a few shapely ladies on stage to dance with them and they did in Indy one year invited some of the burlesque ladies (opening act) on stage with them near the end.

Re: Terre Haute, IN - April 15
Invited is one thing. Drunkenly (or worse, soberly) stumbling onstage during a performance is quite another. Especially looking for autographs! This band does more than any other band as far as offering themselves up to the fans. All it takes is just a little patience!
As far as this lady goes, I'm going to say (hope) that she was just a really drunk virgin and didn't know that she could get a signature at the M&G. Really, really drunk. Without anyone sober enough to stop her.
Sure.
