Re: Urbana, IL - May 6
I think I can make this one...desperately trying to find somebody to work for me that Saturday. I'll be at the concert either way, but life will be better if I don't have to be at work at 5:30 the next morning.

I'm strongly considering this one...it's about a 5 hour drive, so I'd rather have someone go with me but so far no takers

Re: Urbana, IL - May 6
Great show, Urbana! I don't know how these guys get better each time I see them, but they do.
For now, I'll just say that the horns (Rah, Flu, Will, and Midnight) sounded amazing, and Cass was perfection.
And what a thrill it was to snuggle between Eddie and Cass for a picture at the m & g. First time I've ever caught those two together, and neither one up on a table!
I'm hungrier than ever for the new music, because they slayed those song tonight.

What a happy surprise it was that so many good friends were there for this show! I truly feel blessed to know you all, and call you friends --- TTM and Red, Reino (miss you here, girly!), Arin and Cheesy, Swoonin', Upholder (aka Bump Bump Bump), Andra, and Phunky (Phunks, you may get your poster back. . . . . "someday". . . . .)
Thank you all for sharing a great night with Mr Mish and me!
Hugs!

Re: Urbana, IL - May 6
Last night was great. The show was great, however I actually think I had more fun after the show..... It's always fun when you're around great people.
Re: Urbana, IL - May 6
Oh man that was a great show!
Back from Urbana, where the HAL 9000 was created. ("Dave's not here, man. I locked him out.") And Mish is right......the horns were synced & on fire! This was my first show at this neat little college-town venue. A surprisingly good Forum turnout, reasonably-priced Patron, NO opening act and NO stage barrier made this a fun night!
But when I get to visit with Da Cheezys, Reino, Mish & Mister, TTM & Red, Uploader (my patron & host for the night), Swoony, Andra, Army Mom, at least two other ladies whose names I embarrassingly can't remember, and CC Gumdrops even dashed in at the last moment.........well, that's a good night. Don't even need the Patron.
But it was soooo reasonably priced. And they served it in cute little dixie cups!
Anyway, here's a video clip. Of the show, obviously.
Lots of fun here, even if I'm not totally happy with the video quality. There's horn-grabbing, twirling, string licking and then a rousing version of Make It Shake! I don't know why Rah got streamers shot over his head when he soloed, but Midnight has fun with the streamers. Until he overwraps.
Somehow I ended up with that wad of streamers in my hands, and had the exact same problem...
;-)
Check out the way those horns accent and punctuate!
Ed: And I have to add, the Cass/Pole guitar-thrust game is becoming absolutely hilarious! But Mr. The Pole better be careful; he was getting pretty close to the goods Friday night. (Watch them on the right from 8:00 to 8:40.)
I'm not ready for soprano Cassanova...

Great vid, Phunks! Thanks so much for that! I didn't even know you were filming --- but I stayed nice and short for you anyway.
;-)
I'm not sure what was different about Make It Shake this time, except that The Flu was back, and the horns always seem tighter when he is there. Whatever the magic was, that song was one of the highlights of the show. I'm glad you caught it for us!

You're very welcome. I didn't even know you were in front of me.
You must have been really gettin' down!

Well, the withdrawals started Saturday afternoon… guess that’s a good sign I’m finally getting my mummy mojo back.

It's so great to see Reino and her magic camera back on the forum!
Thanks for sharing those, Reeeno! You always take the best pictures.
Now I'm off to "borrow" some of them . . . . . . . .

Excellent as always, Reino! Thank you.
I see several good bubble pic candidates....
;-)
And it was good to see you......LIVE, and not Memorex!
