NYE2016 in Springfield, IL

Yeah phunky, I feel alot better than I did earlier this week, although I can't hear and I can't talk, every man's dream date.

Well not deaf, just muffled sounds.

What time is everyone going to arrive at boondocls?

Not sure exactly. Door opens at 8. Show is at 9, but I believe there's an opening act. So the boys will probably start around 10:15. Missy was in line a week ago, Andra is sleeping in her car, others will probably start lining up around 6.

There IS an indoor bar you can wait in until the doors to the big room open.

Is it Just me or does any other female have the issue of not being able to find something to wear just before a concert?

Well is t this just the fuck'd up way to end 2016, looks like the plague isn't done with me, dysentery has set in. I was really hoping this part of it would pass me by but no full force vengeance.

Show review: What can I say that has not been said before?...I will try: they pulled out all the stops (confetti guns and balloons and more confetti and balloons and still more confetti)...they played older songs, ones that I have not heard in a long time...they were brilliant with the new guy...(Mummy Snatchmo on trumpet), Flu and Midnight on Bari and other multi-talented duties, Cass did Peccadillo and this time I just watched it...I met a virgin (a rather attractive man there BY HIMSELF!!! WTF? on New Year's Eve? Well...maybe that was the best place for him....) stood behind Britnie (new forum member and yes, she is tall), got to talk to Upholder and his missy...and missed a whole bunch of forum regulars: Swoonin, StephDZ, PlatinumMistress and many more...did see Red and TTM but no becknaked and others. It did not feel right and I am really, really hoping that I see them at more shows in the future...

Song list? Aw...who the hell can remember! I will let other people chime in on that one.

On stage: Snatchmo, Rah, Flu, Midnight, Tut, Cass, Eddie, Spazz

Meetngreet: Spazz, Eddie and Rah. I hugged each, told them I had purchased a CD but that their job was done for the night and they did not need to sign it. And I thanked them for spending their NYE with us...got extra good squeezes after.

It was a lovely, lovely evening. And the next day, a whole six (6) of us showed up at the Lincoln Memorial for the New Year's Day picture....

I'm finally a little less drunk. I pretty much had to cancel yesterday, after crawling home from Springfield.
Phunky Tip: Do NOT sit in a hottub for 45 min at 2 am after drinking tequila all night.
It bakes the tequila and turns you into a walking toxic waste dump.

But it WAS a good show!

Tequila and champagne before the show. Friendly faces upon entering Boondock's! Red, TTM, Reino & Mr Mummette, ArMom, Jeannie from years ago, various others (I forget ;-) )........then, more tequila, more faces, waiting, waiting....then some silly band, more tequila, more smoking......and then confetti guns. From every direction. All night long. (Did I mention I managed to force a Patron shot on our mediamerch stage-monkey & all-around good guy Jimmie on one of my many trips to the bar? Well I did. And he was complaining about having to load 18 different confetti cannons. Now I understand. And I probably should have bought him 2 shots.)

And songs. They played MANY songs! Probably eighteen to twenty of them.
I was impressed!

All in all, 'twas a fine way to close out 2016! And my group escorts/caretakers TDW, Dave's Not Here, Senorita B and Mr Nielsen took good care of me and kept me entertained/well-lubricated all night. Thanks, gang!

Wish I could have rung in the new year with my favourite Party People, but alas, Capitalism decided it needed me at work, rather than out partying with sexy Mummies and good Friends.

I seem to setup in front of the horns most times. If I'm 'on the rail' I can get good coverage of the whole stage. But let's be real.....the boys probably prefer to play to mummettes in tight tees rather than gap-toothed Willie Nelson. So, my M.O. is usually to stand right behind 2 short mummettes. Then I get solos AND boobs right in my face!

But Saturday night I ended up in the 3rd row, with tall people to the left and right. So, obstructed view. I saw little of Tut. And why there's so much TDW-head in my vids. And a little B-head.

I forgot to mention that the opening act for New Year's Eve was OUTSTANDING! I would travel to see them again. They play in western Illinois and Iowa. I already have invitations to go out there and places to stay! Name: Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters. Check them out. I can't find any really good-quality video, but this gives folks an idea.  The lead singer has an amazing voice!  
And after all the complaining we did about PeelanderZ, let's be sure we let everyone know when the opening act is a good one!  I hope someone commented on FB too.
